Sweet Newborn Kenley
San Diego Photographer Jeni Bernatz

I love the sweet sounds newborn babies make, the grunts, gurgles, and tiny little sighs, don’t even get me started on quiver lips…and I just love that I have been given such a great opportunity this month to be chosen for so many new babies first portriat sessions.  What a great honor!

Meet Miss Kenley, she is one little girl who already knows exactly what she wants…and what she doesnt want too!  She has some amazing big sisters and is so very loved!

I believe in Miracles
San Diego Photographer Jeni Bernatz

…and I met one today.  Today I met up with the amazing family who received the giving is awesome session I offered in December.  I have been looking forward to meeting this family ever since they were nominated, and could not wait to meet their almost 3 year old who has been through so much it is mind boggling.  This little guy has been through so many surgeries and has overcome some amazing odds and is not only surviving, he is thriving.  So, this awesome couple has this adorable soon to be three year old who I instantly fell in love with, they also have 6 week old twins!  The babies were born while they were still in the hospital with big brother, but all of them are home now and just truly, simply, amazing.

It was such a blessing for me to meet this family, spend time with their children, and hear the story of their deep faith and perserverence.  Not only do I fully believe in miracles, I really believe Kyle is the prime example of one of them!  I have already told them I would love to give another session later in the year, I cannot wait to see the progress I know Kyle will make (not to mention those little babies too)!

Here is your sneak peak…

Wow, I have been busy with shoots of brand new babies, cheer competitions and my youngest coming down with pneumonia last week I have neglected my poor blog!

I just had to share some pictures from a mini session with one of my favorite 5 year olds!  Thanks for stopping by!

I wanted to share the email nomination for the family who will receive the Giving is Awesome session from me.  Thanks so much both to Staci and Shylo for nominating this family.  It will truly be my pleasure to give this family a full session and everything it entails!

Jeni - I have a good friend (she has worked for our family for the last 10 years) who is perfect for your gift.  Shannon & her husband Jearod have a 2 1/2 year-old son who was diagnosed with a rare disease that causes tumor growth in the brain (very complicated disease……but eventually will cause death).  Kyle had surgery at the beginning of November to remove a large growth from his brain, and to make a very long story “short” had an aneurism two days after his surgery that caused sever brain damage to the brain stem and he was in a coma for two weeks.  Shannon and Jearod decided to leave it in Gods hands and let the doctors remove life support.  With the power of prayer and miraculously he is still living today!!  The doctors are amazed , and he is still in a very dire state, but they are hoping and praying with therapy that he will recover to a point that he can really be living!!  This whole story is so amazing that I cant even write it in an email…so call me and we can talk.  I have shared this story with many of my Alpine friends, because it has been so hard for all of us, and the good it has brought out of people is amazing.  This little boy is such a gift.

But…..not only has this happened to this poor family.  But Shannon was 26 weeks pregnant with boy/girl twins when Kyle first went into the hospital (52 days ago)  Last week she gave birth to two “healthy” babies……..this family has had to quit their jobs, are barely making it, and now have three babies in the hospital.  They have been literally living at Kaiser Hospital, and are taking one day at a time.  We have set up accounts for contributions for them etc. but this would be such a gift for them!
